Harry Edward Styles, known in the world of music in the world of music as Harry Styles, is a British musician and singer known as one of the members of the group One Direction. The band is based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school. There, with three other students, he created his group musical, White Eskimo. After winning the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to a stellar performance, the band also took part in the Battle of Bands 2010. Even though he had always had an interest in the music world, despite his passion for it, he wished to be a lawyer or physiotherapist. In order to provide for his family, he worked an hour or so working at a baker's shop. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition during which he performed the Stevie Wonder's song Is not She Lovely. This is why his group was forced to break up. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of the band to be dubbed One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group. They were first created in the year 2010. The group performed hits like My Life Would Suffer Without You, by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. This made the group one of the candidates for the award. But they finished placed third in the third place, behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell didn't take home the prize. However, Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million pounds contract with Syco.
